The tour last approximately 1.5 hours and passengers are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the tour. Please note that fully enclosed shoes, long sleeved tops to the wrists and long pants to the ankles are essential for the tour. We suggest bringing drinking water with you on hot days. Special tours for large groups can be negotiated by prior arrangement. Children 0-3 free - must be accompanied by an adult at all time

?Compasswest helicopters owner and Chief pilot Neal Kent saw the opportunity when working away with his construction business in Tom Price in 2003 for a helicopter service in Tom Price that would regionalize a helicopter service providing the tourism, construction and mining an additional avenue for air transport across its natural but rugged and remote location.

Compasswest helicopters first application to the local shire was in 2003 and after many persistent applications, were finally granted a slither of road reserve on Nameless valley road in October of 2016.

We commenced operation in April 2017 ready for the tourism season and any other affiliated requirements that customers require a helicopter for.

We provide all types of air tours and helicopter services in the Pilbara region to meet you charter needs.

Owned by long-time resident of the Pilbara, Brad Beaumont is committed to sharing his passion for the Archipelago through sharing his extensive knowledge about the historical and contemporary wonders of this part of the northwest coast of WA.

Dampier Maritime School has its own dedicated training facility, surveyed training boats and qualified master marine instructor.  Training courses can be customised to suit individual/corporate requirements.

Dampier Trailer Boat Hire operates 7 days per week with two 4.6 metre Plaka boats (with shade) available for hire.

Lestok Tours commenced operations in the Pilbara in 1986. In 1989 we took up the challenge of Tourism. Since that time we have conducted guided tours of Rio Tinto's Tom Price mining operation which is one of the most popular tours in the Pilbara. When access to Karijini National Park from Tom Price opened up with the Marandoo Road in 1993, we commenced day tours of the Park and Gorges.

Our vehicles are maintained to the highest standard and upgraded regularly. We have four coaches and three Toyota Coasters.

Just North of Ningaloo reef and Exmouth Gulf on the West Australian coast is a small group of ten islands called the Mackerel Islands. Accessible from Onslow or Learmonth, it is an undiscovered marine playground with new and unexplored dive sites simply waiting for those who venture in. With a new dive center on the main island of Thevenard it looks set to become the new frontier in Western Australian diving.

Thevenard Island is the main base offering excellent facilities for divers and snorkellers. Lying just 20 kms offshore from Onslow you can arrive by charter boat, charter aircraft or your own boat. New dive sites are being discovered all the time but the real fact is that most of the marine life has never come in touch with a human being. Be one of the first to discover and experience this amazing opportunity.

The Mackerel Islands: Road Travel
Road travel from Perth to Onslow is a comfortable drive of about a day and a half on fully sealed roads.

Flying to North West
Qantas flies between Perth & Karratha. Skywest between Perth & Learmonth (just south of Exmouth).

Mainly operating from Karratha, The ‘Ngurrangga Tours’ are a series of guided tours of the Pilbara, which were created to give visitors the opportunity to immerse and educate themselves in Aboriginal culture.

These tours offer visitors a unique experience, where they can learn about bush foods and medicines, as well as coming to appreciate and understand spectacular rock art through traditional songs and stories.  Journeying through the Pilbara, you will be taken through Murujuga National Park to view the highest concentration of rock art anywhere in the world. The Rock Art Tour will give visitors the chance to view 1 million rock art images across the Burrup Peninsula and Dampier Archipelago, believed to be over 40,000 years old.

There are many tour options available, including the Rock Art tour, the Barrimirndi tour, the Bush Tucker tour and the 4WD Tag-Along tour, just to name a few. Some itinerary tours include camping in the bush and visiting some of the most breathtaking places to view the wonders of the Milky Way. The North West Shelf Project is a joint venture between six major international companies. It is one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producers, supplying oil and gas to Australian and international markets from huge offshore gas and condensate fields in the Carnarvon Basin off the north-west coast of Australia.

The internationally renowned North West Shelf Venture Visitors’ Centre includes interactive displays that invite you to look, touch, feel and listen as you learn. Overlooking the Karratha Gas Plant, the visitors centre is situated on the Burrup Peninsula Road about 20km from Karratha.
