Description

The Ngurin Bush Tucker Trail in Roebourne is a 2-kilometre self-guided walk that surrounds the Ieramargadu pool on the Harding River.

It follows existing tracks and the old De Gray Street bridge, offering a picturesque view of the river. The trail has been designed in collaboration with the Ngarluma people, the traditional owners of the land, and provides an opportunity to learn about Aboriginal culture and bush tucker. Ngarluma Elders have contributed valuable insights, and the trail features explanatory signs and artefacts depicting bush tucker and bush medicines. The trail is open year-round, and it is recommended to visit in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat. The best way to reach the trail is by car, driving along the North West Coastal Highway from Perth, or by flying to Karratha, the closest airport to Roebourne.
