Each tour takes approximately one hour, and visitors should arrive a few minutes before their scheduled tour. Checking the weather conditions at the site before arriving is advised.

To get to Thunderegg & Crystal Mine, take the M1 northbound from the Gold Coast and exit at Oxenford (Exit 57). Turn right onto Tamborine Mountain Road and continue for about 25 kilometers.

Turn right at the stop sign onto Gallery Walk Road, and after passing the clock tower on your left, turn left onto Eagle Heights Road. Drive for about a kilometer, and you will arrive at Thunderbird Park.
