Stories on the Wall is a things to do venue in Guildford, Western Australia.

Stories on the Wall is a result of a lifetime of experiences all combined with an artistic background, lifetime travels, and living in 3 different continents. A combination of different cultures creates richness and beauty in unique ways.

This is a story which started with love. Bonnie coming from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, met her French husband, Paul, 35 years ago in Paris.

Ever since then they have expanded their boundaries, and developed a harmony in a way of life which was always unique! Living in France contributed to their exclusive taste for quality, and individuality.

Where America taught them how to go after a dream, and widen their horizons. And Australia where everything became united, finding a half way mark between the 2 countries, and discovering a culture of outdoor living, simplicity, and wellbeing.

Paul directed a company with 35 French clothing shops and was keen on business, and Bonnie was on the other end, dreaming up paintings, putting together exhibitions and taking care of their 3 children in happy way. With Australia in view, Paul opened 5 clothing shops and settled in Perth with his traveling family.

Bonnie continued painting with new inspiration, and captured amazing beauty of her new country. Exhibitions were a part of her life, and one day had an opportunity to do a quick exhibition in the shop that is now called “Stories on the Wall”, in honor of the many stories held within each painting.

The expo was only scheduled for a week or two, but the reactions were so strong, and welcoming that the shop was kept as a permanent gallery! With the walls full of colours attracting passerby, the interior looked a little empty.

It was then the furniture came about. Reclaimed timber furniture made out of old fishing boats from the tropical islands of Indonesia.

Recycled, naturally weathered, unique colours, and original, the furniture is an artwork by itself. The gallery became complete, using art in a decorative way, and art that could be used as tables, chairs, and shelves!

Furthermore, using recycled timber furniture helps reduce environmental impact by recycling and minimizing the use of synthetic materials!
