Divers have the opportunity to explore an extensive wall of coral that drops from 10 to 25 meters. The reef edge is adorned with soft corals, gorgonians, black coral trees, and sea whips.

It is home to a diverse range of marine life, including turtles, eagle rays, barracuda, mackerel, trevally, rainbow runners, stingrays, wobbegongs, crayfish, grey reef sharks, and manta rays. Both novice and experienced divers can enjoy Musgrave Dropoff.

Divers can jump in anywhere along the wall and expect a unique and personal diving experience, as the wall is rarely dived. The wall is decorated with various types of coral and offers a good variety of reef fish and invertebrates.

Olive sea snakes are commonly found along the wall. Visitors can also encounter marine wildlife such as turtles, eagle rays, barracuda, mackerel, trevally, rainbow runners, and more while cruising along the wall.

Musgrave Dropoff is accessible year-round, but the best time for diving is between March and November due to less turbulent sea conditions. The water temperature remains comfortable at around 24-28 °C throughout the year.

To reach Lady Musgrave Island, visitors can take a boat or seaplane from Bundaberg. The boat ride takes approximately 90 minutes, while the seaplane ride takes 30 minutes.

Bundaberg can be reached by car or plane from major cities like Brisbane or Sydney.
