Mount Archer National Park is a things to do venue in Rockhampton, Queensland.

It is the backdrop to the city of Rockhampton, which marks the start of Tropical Queensland. The national park comprises 4,250 hectares (10,500 acres) of open forests and woodland, and its highest peak stands at 604 m (1,982 ft) above sea level named Mount Archer.

The Darumbal tribe Raki-warra clan considers the park as a part of its traditional country. In 1853, the park was explored by the Archer brothers and was later named after them.

In 1898, the site was set aside as a water reserve and later as a timber reserve in 1940. Grazing went on until 1985, after which the area came under the supervision of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.

It became an environmental park in 1987 and was finally declared a national park in 1994. The national park has an abundance of flora and fauna, and its vegetation is mostly open eucalypt woodland with patches of vine scrub.

The park is home to several avian species such as the rufous shrikethrush, white-browed scrubwren, powerful owl and glossy black cockatoo. Visitors can observe and appreciate these animals in their natural habitat.

A road leads to the summit of Mount Archer, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The summit is also an excellent vantage point for photography enthusiasts.
