The camp is situated on Mornington Station, which was a beef cattle station before it was purchased by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy in 2001 and turned into a sanctuary. The camp provides a shady, creek-side campground with ablution blocks, hot showers, and communal BBQs. Mornington Wilderness Camp is accessible via Gibb River Road in Derby, Western Australia. The camp offers a range of accommodation options, including safari tents, cabins, and campsites.
