The estate is situated on the meandering Goulburn River and offers 360-degree views of the vineyard and the surrounding area, including the peaks of the Great Dividing Range. Mitchelton Wines is a family-owned and operated property with a history dating back to 1836.

Since its inception in 1969, it has become known for its award-winning wines, regional food, art, and hospitality. The Nagambie Estate boasts 108 vineyard hectares of Riesling, Chardonnay, Marsanne, Shiraz, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Toolleen vineyard in Heathcote produces Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The restaurant at Mitchelton Wines offers a seasonal menu that showcases the best of the region’s produce. The menu is designed to complement the estate’s wines and features dishes such as slow-cooked lamb shoulder, pan-fried barramundi, and roasted pumpkin salad.
