Marietta Dal Shipwreck Dive Site is a things to do venue in Moreton Island, Queensland.

Originally a 7500-tonne liberty ship, it ran aground on Smith Rock in 1950 while carrying a cargo of sulphur, oil, tractors, and other general cargo. Today, it is one of the most interesting shipwrecks off Brisbane, attracting both novice and experienced divers.

The wreckage of the Marietta Dal is scattered over a wide area of Smith Rock, offering plenty to explore. The main section of wreckage consists of twisted plates, beams, and the long prop shaft.

The cargo of tractors, resembling small tanks with caterpillar tracks, is particularly intriguing. Even without the ship remains, the area is a fantastic dive spot with ledges, caves, and gutters teeming with marine life.

The Marietta Dal dive site is also known for its excellent underwater visibility, which can reach up to 30 meters. The Marietta Dal shipwreck dive site is accessible year-round, but the best time to visit is during the warmer months from November to April.

To reach the site, visitors can take a boat from various launch sites on Moreton Island. Access to the island is limited to 4WD vehicles due to it being a sand island.
