About Croajingolong National Park

Croajingolong National Park is a things to do venue in Wingan River, Victoria.

The park’s southern boundary is the Tasman Sea, bordered by Bemm River to the west, the township of Mallacoota to the east, and dense bushland and low hills to the north. The park features diverse landscapes including rocky outcrops, freshwater rivers, sandy beaches, and coastal dunes.

It is contiguous with the Cape Howe Wilderness Area, the Nadgee Nature Reserve, and the Cape Howe Marine National Park. Croajingolong National Park is recognized as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and is home to almost 1,000 native plant species and 315 animal species.

Visitors are attracted to the park’s remote wilderness and abundant flora and fauna. Activities such as hiking, walking, swimming, diving, snorkelling, and sea kayaking are popular, especially along the 100 kilometres (62 mi) Wilderness Coast Walk.

Some of the park’s popular destinations include Point Hicks, Tamboon Inlet, Thurra River sand dunes, Lake Elusive, Mount Everard, and Rame Head. There are several campsites in the park, including Wingan Inlet, Shipwreck Creek, Peachtree Creek, Mueller Inlet, and Thurra River.

These campsites offer picnic areas and fireplaces. Nearby towns such as Mallacoota, Genoa, Cann River, Bemm River, and Orbost provide convenient access to the park.
