Cobbler Creek Recreation Park is a things to do venue in Adelaide, South Australia.

It serves as an essential site for public recreation and offers much-needed open space between Golden Grove and Salisbury. The park’s unique environment is a result of its location on the border of the dry northern Adelaide Plains and the wetter Mount Lofty Ranges.

The park is bounded by Bridge and Smith roads, and Green Valley Drive, with The Grove Way running through it. It is open to the public and includes benches, picnic tables, and signage, but lacks other public facilities.

Kelway House, originally part of the Kelway Park farm, remains as office accommodation for park management staff. The park experiences an average rainfall of 465 millimetres and has average daily temperatures ranging from 6.2—15.6 degrees Celsius in winter to 16.5—29.7 degrees Celsius in summer.

The park’s topography ranges from steadily sloping in the west to hilly in the east. The land that is now Cobbler Creek Recreation Park was once farmed after European settlement.

It was part of William Pedler’s farm, known as Pedler’s Creek, and later, another farm called Kelway Park occupied the area. Salisbury residents used the site for Sunday School picnics, and the swings were temporarily built for entertainment.

The park forms part of the traditional lands of the Kaurna aboriginal people, but no evidence of land use has been found. In the 1980s, the government purchased the land and preserved it for recreation, creating a development-free buffer between the suburbs of Salisbury and Golden Grove.
