Australia Rock is part of the Narooma Accretionary Complex and Chevron Folds, formed by the pressure from the Pacific Plate’s collision with the land. It is also a great location for panoramic photographs and picnics.

Australia Rock offers excellent photo opportunities, especially during sunrise and sunset when the light shines through the hole. Visitors can also observe the impressive geology of the area and the marine life that inhabits it.

To reach Bar Rock Lookout and Australia Rock, visitors can drive or take public transportation to Narooma. The town is accessible by road, rail, and sea, with a daily coach service operating from Canberra.
