Koroit Botanic Gardens, located on High Street in Koroit, is a picturesque public garden that was planned by district surveyor Thomas Watson in 1857. In June 2012, a large tree planting event was conducted in the gardens, adding over 60 new rare and unusual trees and shrubs. The gardens provide a peaceful and relaxing environment, making it a perfect resource for education and inspiring themes for future plantings. The Koroit Botanic Gardens are open to the public year-round and can be accessed via High Street, Koroit. To reach the gardens, follow the Princes Highway west from Geelong or east from Portland, and turn off at Koroit.
