Description

Carrum Beach, located in Carrum, forms the northern 2 km of the 9 km long Frankston-Carrum beach on the eastern coast of Victoria, Australia.

The beach is bordered by the Patterson River to the north, and the Carrum Surf Life Saving Club, Carrum Sailing Club, and Patterson River Yacht Club are located in the area. The beach has a General Beach Hazard Rating of 3/10, which means it is the least hazardous beach.

The Carrum Foreshore Precinct is a must-visit area that stretches from the Patterson River to Dandenong Creek Trail. Along the precinct, visitors can stop by the Beauty Spot park and the Dandenong Creek Trail. Moreover, the beach boasts of a 2 km stretch of beautiful sandy paradise, where visitors can swim, have a picnic or sunbathe. The beach also has a designated off-leash dog area, where dogs can play and frolic in the sand. It is the perfect place for pet owners who want to bring their furry friends with them.

There is a great sea-themed playground at the Carrum Foreshore near the Surf Life Saving Club where children can play with the soft sandy base. The playground is mainly fenced, so the parents can let their children have fun and not worry about their little ones running off. Alongside the playground, there are two shelters with a table and BBQs that visitors can use. The toilets are also a few steps away.
