Award Winners At The Labelmakers Perth Hills Wine Show, September 2022

The Labelmakers Perth Hills Wine Show 2022 had 59 entries across eight classes, with Tonon Vineyard & Winery winning the top prize for their 2022 Fiano. 20 wineries from the Perth Hills Wine Region participated, with 7 gold, 13 silver, and 27 bronze medals awarded.

The Labelmakers Perth Hills Wine Show was held on the night of September 21st, with 59 entries across eight classes in 2022, with 7 gold, 13 silver and 27 bronze medals awarded. Tonon Vineyard & Winery took out the top prize with their 2022 Fiano: the highest-scoring wine of the show. Winemaker Daniel Tonon said Fiano was a grape variety he was particularly passionate about and one he loved producing wine from. Wines were submitted from 20 wineries in the Perth Hills Wine Region, which stretches from Chittering Valley in the north down to Serpentine in the south and includes the Bickley-Carmel region, one of the closest wine regions to the CBD.

This year’s judges were Jo Perry from Dormilona Wines (Chief Judge); Megs Kopke, founder and owner of Morevino; Jason Conti of Paul Conti wines; and Aled Shaw (Associate Judge) from Faber Vineyard & Winery.
