1. The Annual Great Apple Hunt
Head to Funk Brewshed in Henley Brook this Easter Sunday as The Annual Great Apple Hunt returns to the Swan Valley! With the hunt starting at noon, get you and your loved ones to put on your best apple hunting boots. Kids will be rewarded with an Easter chocolate treat for every red apple found, and for the grown-ups, there are special golden apples to search for. Every finder is entitled to a free ‘grown-up’ drink on the house! After the hunt, Funk will be serving freshly-brewed ciders and delicious meals

2. Fremantle International Street Arts Festival
The Fremantle International Street Arts Festival returns from Good Friday to Easter Monday to transform the city’s streets into an open-air theatre, featuring an exciting round-up of street performers, acrobats, musicians, and even real-life mermaids! Beyond the main performance stages, roving performers pop up in surprising locations throughout the city, ensuring you’ll never miss the action. The festival also features pop-up bars, eateries, and other attractions that extend the celebration into Fremantle’s iconic alfresco dining scene.

3. Day trip to Rottnest
Easter is one of the busiest times on Rottnest and, while there is no chance of getting accommodation, you can take a day trip and explore the island. The Rottnest pub is always plenty of fun and for the football fans, you won’t miss a game as they’ve got the whole season playing live, and it’s the perfect spot for families to grab a bite to eat. For some dumb fun, try mini golf at the Settlement or book in to play nine holes at the Rottnest Golf Course, open all long weekend. There’s even a special Easter Egg hunt for Rottnest Express Quokka Club members, running for the whole long weekend!
Ensure to book your ferry tickets early as they sell out fast. Depending on the day, the earliest ferries run from Fremantle’s B Shed from 7am with Sealink and return as late as 8:30 with Rottnest Fast Ferries. 4. Day trip to the Swan Valley
For a day trip that’s a stone’s throw away from the city, look no further than the Swan Valley. Explore top-notch wineries with incredible views, and join in the Easter fun with events like Bailey Brewing’s Easter Weekend and Easter-themed scavenger hunts at Outback Splash.
If you’re looking to keep the whole family busy, Supa Golf (and their fan-favourite mini golf Supa Putt) are open all weekend for you to tee off and wind down. Caversham Wildlife Park is also welcoming guests all weekend, meaning your Easter Bunny may be more of an Easter koala!

5. Easter Markets
Elizabeth Quay is set to transform into a festive Easter market this Saturday and Sunday, with stalls showcasing the best of local businesses. There is no charge to attend, but you will be tempted to spend your money on one-of-a-kind ceramics, handmade jewellery and indulge in distilled spirits. There will even be some treats for your pets, so make sure they’re willing to wear some bunny ears for the day as this market is pet-friendly!
Live music will ensure the Easter festivities continue, as well as fun for the kids throughout the evening. The markets will run from 3pm to 8pm, whilst the Easter activities will finish at 6pm.
The event will be wheelchair accessible and public bathrooms are located around Elizabeth Quay.

6. Hop into the City: Easter Edition
Start your Easter weekend with crafts and stories at the Easter Edition of Hop into the City this Saturday! Beginning at the Perth Cultural Centre, listen to the stories of the holiday and work on some special Easter projects that you can take home. After half an hour, hop on over to Yagan Square for face painting and to experience some amazing roving performances. The Easter bunny will be busy hiding eggs for you to find, and you can even grab an Easter Bunny selfie. This event is free to join, and will continue with live music in Yagan Square until 2pm.
Transperth will be operating on public holiday hours, so plan ahead to make sure you’re in time for the festivities.

7. Easter in Leederville
On Easter Sunday, businesses in Leederville will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt for all ages. Equip yourself with a basket and start at the precinct at 10am, then get stuck in searching for treats through the Servo Yard, The Garden, and Electric Lane. Before you start your hunt, grab a delicious breakfast at Servo, opening at 8am. Finishing up at 12pm, you can join the Easter Bunny for lunch at The Garden.
For the adults, there will be a hunt for more than just chocolate eggs. Prizes for free food, drinks and bar cards will be scattered, so make sure you and your little ones have a basket to fill. RSVP for the egg hunt here!
8. Luna Cinemas special screening: Monty Python: The Life of Brian
What’s Easter without the Messiah? Or maybe just a very naughty boy? Easter continues in Leederville with the annual screening of Monty Python’s The Life of Brian. At Luna Outdoor cinema, the classic film is being screened to honour the second coming of Christ on Sunday the 31st.
Grab a free slice of Siena’s pizza, and enjoy tunes from an in-house DJ for your perfect day at the movies. To replicate the stoning scene from the film, there will be an Easter egg chucking to prepare you for the laughs of Monty Python. Starting from $16 a ticket, the screening will start at 7:30pm.

9. Check out the WA Museum Boola Bardip
If you haven’t had the chance to head down to the WA Museum, this weekend is the perfect time to check out some incredible exhibits in the heart of the city. Featuring old favourites like the dinosaurs of Australia and Otto the blue whale, the Museum is open every day of the long weekend except for Good Friday.
Alongside classic exhibits, visitors can be among the first to see the Museum’s brand-new exhibition, To the Moon. Opened on March 26, To the Moon is a multiform exhibition that delves into humanity’s enduring fascination with the Moon, interweaving lunar art, pop culture, planetary science, historical insights, and the perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. There’s even a piece of genuine lunar rock on display, generously supplied by NASA!
10. James Cameron’s Challenging the Deep
Don’t miss this major immersive exhibition at the WA Maritime Museum that explores filmmaker James Cameron’s lifelong pursuit of and achievements in deep ocean science, technology and exploration. This exhibition delves into Cameron’s record-breaking dives in DEEPSEA CHALLENGER, the submersible vessel he co-designed, which was built in Sydney.
Experience how James Cameron’s passion for understanding and exploring our oceans has shone a light on the least known place on earth. The exhibition immerses you in an underwater environment using cinema-scale projections, artefacts and specimens from his expeditions.
Opened on March 23, this exhibition runs from 9:30 to 5pm every day except Good Friday.

11. Under the Bridge East Freo Food Trucks
Bringing delicious food to East Fremantle each Monday, the Under the Bridge Freo Food Trucks are a great way to indulge after a busy long weekend. Offering delicious street food at the East Street Jetty from 5pm – 9pm, as well as live music and views of the Fremantle sunset, these markets are the perfect way to relax before the week begins.
