3. Day trip to Rottnest

Easter is one of the busiest times on Rottnest and, while there is no chance of getting accommodation, you can take a day trip and explore the island. The Rottnest pub is always plenty of fun and for the football fans, you won’t miss a game as they’ve got the whole season playing live, and it’s the perfect spot for families to grab a bite to eat. For some dumb fun, try mini golf at the Settlement or book in to play nine holes at the Rottnest Golf Course, open all long weekend. Ensure to book your ferry tickets early as they sell out fast. Depending on the day, the earliest ferries run from Fremantle’s B Shed from 7am with Sealink and return as late as 8:30 with Rottnest Fast Ferries.
