Superbly located on the Darling scarp high above the Swan Valley Tourist Food & Wine Trail on approximately 7 acres of peaceful, part landscaped, part natural bush land. Originally built as a family home for world-class musician Hank B Marvin of the Shadows, Stocks Country Retreat is the perfect Tudor country house setting for relaxing.

Slip into the tranquillity of one of the three exclusive suites, each individually furnished & decorated. The Music Studio & the Garden Room have king size 4-poster beds, the Lucknow Suite has a twin superking bed & each have ensuites with double spas to help unwind from the stresses of everyday life, a complimentary bottle of bubbly & chocolates chilling in the fridge.

A gourmet cooked breakfast is served each morning under the pavilion overlooking the pool during the summer or by the cosy wood fire in the dining room during the cooler months. An a la carte menu is available for evening meals or snacks throughout the day.

There is a floodlit full size tennis court, solar heated pool & bocce. There are trail walks around the hills of Brigadoon & down to & along the river.

Take in the breathtaking views & enjoy the local wildlife – kangaroos, echidnas, rabbits & emus & spot the many different birds – parrots, blue wrens, honeyeaters, wagtails, kookaburras, magpies & eagles just to name a few. The gardens of Stocks Country Retreat overlook a dam which in the winter months overflows to create a waterfall down to the Swan River & Bells Rapids.

Just minutes away there are many award winning wineries, boutique breweries, distilleries, restaurants, coffee shops, the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, home-made nougat & ice cream & galleries – too many to visit in one day. All this just half an hour from the airport & Perth CBD which is clearly visible from the grounds – the perfect place to beat the traffic & watch the city skyshows.
