Located 12 minutes west of Deloraine, 40 minutes south of Devonport, 45 minutes west of Launceston and 75 minutes east of Cradle Mountain, the 82-acre sanctuary is home to Tasmanian Devils, Wombats, Quolls, Echidnas, Forester Kangaroos, and a variety of birds and ducks, including Cape Barren Geese.

Open every day except Christmas Day, visitors can enjoy 3 free interactive tours at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm as part of their entry fee. Marvel at the roaming wombats, feed the ‘friendliest kangaroos’ in their mob of 50+, and relax in the tranquil atmosphere.

Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary has been actively breeding Tasmanian devils since 1985, as well as participating in other conservation projects such as Quoll and wombat breeding programs and native Tasmanian wildlife rehabilitation programs.
