Snorkeling is also popular in this area. On the north side of the beach, you will find the remains of the St.

Martin de Porres shipwreck, which occurred in 1938. This piece of history offers an interesting vantage point for visitors wanting to explore the cove.

To make the most of your visit, it is recommended to go during low tide as the beach can be covered entirely during high tide. Weekdays offer a more peaceful and quiet experience, and if the weather permits, Silica Cove is a great spot for a picnic.

To reach Silica Cove, you can start at the car park on the northern side of the peninsula. Access to the Beecroft Peninsula is through the HMAS Creswell facility, which has set public access hours.

Once inside the facility, follow the signs to the Beecroft Weapons Range Security Gate, park your car in the designated area, and begin your walk.
