Bherwerre Beach is a things to do venue in Jervis Bay, New South Wales.

The beach is bordered by pristine waters, golden sand, and features gorgeous views of Cave Beach to the east and Sussex Inlet to the west. Bherwerre Beach played a historical role in 1835 when the convict transportation ship, Hive, carrying convicts from Dublin, Ireland, ran aground on the beach.

The ship was subsequently shipwrecked after being removed from the beach. Today, remnants of the shipwreck are found approximately 40 metres from the shore, under approximately 1.8 to 2.5 metres of sand at a depth of approximately 2 metres.

The wreckage showcases a tragic yet fascinating moment in Australian history and was eventually added to the NSW State Heritage Register in April 2010. Nature enthusiasts will delight in exploring the rich and diverse habitat that Bherwerre Beach offers.

The surrounding dunes and beach area provide a home for a variety of bird species, including the pied oystercatcher, the hooded plover, the wandering albatross, the white-headed petrel, the providence petrel, the Salvin’s prion, the Antarctic prion, the wedge-tailed shearwater, the brown booby, the white-necked heron, the whistling kite, the brown falcon, the red-capped plover, the ruddy turnstone, the bar-tailed godwit, the curlew sandpiper, the caspian tern, the white-throated needletail, the golden-headed cisticola,
