Where to avoid in Gold Coast?
Gold Coast is generally safe, but certain areas can be less desirable, particularly late at night. Surfers Paradise, while a major tourist hub, can attract rowdy crowds and occasional street disturbances around venues like the Cavill Mall precinct and Orchid Avenue, especially on weekends. Broadbeach, specifically around the Oracle Boulevard and Star Casino, can also experience similar issues with late-night revelers.
While not inherently dangerous, areas further inland or away from the main tourist strips might lack the same level of public activity and lighting. Exercise caution in less populated industrial or commercial zones after dark. Stick to well-lit, busy areas and avoid walking alone in quiet streets late at night, regardless of the suburb.
