Boasting more than 350 wineries and some of the worlds’ premium wine producing regions, and food production stretching 3000km from Kimberley to the Great Southern, it is not surprising to learn that Western Australia has a strong food & wine culture, and plenty of events. Here are some of the annual events with a strong focus on wine.

Here are some of the annual events with a strong focus on wine.

Sunset Wine

Brighton Reserve, Scarborough. February.

Enjoy an iconic WA sunset over the ocean whilst tasting fantastic wine, craft beers, ciders and spirits. Add in some live music by local indie bands, gourmet food and a group of your mates, you have a recipe for one of summer’s best boutique events, at Brighton Reserve in Scarborough.

Eat Drink Perth

70+ city wide venues. March.

An event that runs an entire month packed with masterclasses, staycations, wining and dining and lots of amazing offers. Spanning over more than 70 citywide venues and featuring 100+ events, it’s a true celebration of food and wine for all.

Porongurup Wine Festival

Karridale. March.

This festival is a wine lover’s paradise, every year the event boasts a packed schedule of masterclasses, grape stomps, live music, community food and wine conversations and even activities to keep the kids entertained.

Taste Great Southern

Great Southern Region. April.

Featuring a line-up of over 40 events including festivals, markets, degustations, wine tastings, food & wine pairing, masterclasses …and so much more, Taste Great Southern truly is your gourmet go-to event. Located along the amazing south coast and expanding into the farming hinterland, The Great Southern region represents one of the most diverse and engaging tourism, food and wine regions. City Wine

Urban Orchard, Perth Cultural Centre. June.

Enjoy amazing wines, share a tapas style meal with friends and enjoy live local music all while overlooking the Perth skyline at the Urban Orchard. The exhibitor line-up features some of WA’s leading boutique wine producers, a range of Perth’s best food vendors along with a selection of craft brewers, ciders and spirits.

Good Food & Wine Show

Perth Convention Centre. August.

Get a group of friends together and enjoy a fun day out discovering new foods, wines and latest products. Participate in free wine tastings, cheese appreciation masterclasses or watch expert chefs cooking up a storm in multiple culinary demonstrations.

Entwined in the Valley

Swan Valley. October.
