Northbridge’s Chinatown has gained a new dance bar, but it’s up to you to find out exactly where it is! Here’s some insider knowledge we can share:
Password protected and in a mystery location, guests can drop into Toots from 6.00pm on Thursday April 22, but will need to follow clues to find this new addition to the Perth club scene. One clue is that this is a secret bar WITHIN a secret bar, and guests should use the password “is Toots in?” at the bar to gain access.
From Clint Nolan - the mind behind Perth institutions like Henry Summer, Alabama Song and Sneaky Tony’s – Toots is an ode to the nostalgic 70s and 80s with their retro-themed glam disco bar and club.
Nolan says that patrons can expect “lots of gold, lots of glitter and lots of disco balls.”
Sip on old school cocktails, like Fruit Tingles and icon of the 80s, White Russians, while you bop to sing-along classics from artists like Gloria Gaynor, Diana Ross and Cher. For a real party-starter, the bar is pouring popular shots from the era like delicious B52s and creamy Buttery Nipples. Looking for a bite to eat before you get your dancing shoes on? Toots is offering yet more nostalgia with a retro Australian-Italian menu featuring Chorizo Bocadillo and Tuna Crudo.
Toots will have the good vibes (and drinks!) flowing and the groovy tunes blasting, so disco kings and queens don’t forget to dress up for the occasion and enjoy a boogie on the glittery dance floor - when you find it.
