The Art Gallery of Western Australia, founded in 1895, occupies a precinct of three heritage buildings on the south-eastern corner of the Perth Cultural Centre. The Gallery houses the State Art Collection, which includes one of the world’s finest collections of Indigenous art, the pre-eminent collection of Western Australian art and design, as well as Australian and International art and design.
An established art dealership known for its specialisation in Western Australian Art from pre-settlement to 1950, and for publications which feature art and artists from that period.

Arthur Spartalis Fine Arts features over forty illustrated catalogues and books, including the encyclopaedic “A SURVEY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ART FROM 1696”, now the biggest selling locally written and published art text.
Arthur Spartalis established his art dealership, Nias Gallery, in 1975. In October of that year, he held his first exhibition: Limited Edition Etchings and Screenprints by Sir Sidney Nolan.In 1981, the business name changed to Arthur Spartalis Fine Art and specialised in Western Australian art from the pre-settlement, colonial (1829 - 1901) and early Federation (1901 - 1950) periods.
Today, the dealership has expanded to contain Australian Art, Australian and international silverware and glassware , jewellery and other objets d'art.
Clients of Arthur Spartalis Fine Art include public and private collections throughout Australia: national and state galleries; libraries and educational institutions; corporate collections; and personal collections, both local and overseas.
Services provided by Arthur Spartalis Fine Art: Valuations for insurance, sales, auction estimates, buying and selling agent at auction, research on artists and paintings and written reports on collections. The Gallery Central is part of North Metropolitan TAFE formerly Central Institute of Technology. The Gallery’s program includes exhibitions from local, national and international artists and an Artist-in-Residence Program, all within a stunningly appointed and centrally located Creative Industries training environment.
Admission is free and the Gallery Central has several spaces.
Exhibitions are accessible and relevant, appealing to a wide audience. The Gallery Central showcase a range of artists which from time to time includes the achievements of College staff, students and graduates. Creative Industries at Central teaches visual art, ceramics, jewellery, fashion and textiles, graphic design, interior design and decoration, design for industry, photography, film and TV, music, animation and multimedia.
Gomboc Gallery Sculpture Park established in 1982 is free to the public and has regularly changing exhibitions of painting and sculpture within 5 indoor galleries, promoting both Australian and International Artists.

Gomboc Gallery Sculpture Park was established on 4.5hectares of land purchased in 1980 by Ron and Terrie Gomboc initially as a venue to promote and encourage Western Australian artists. There is also a studio / foundry / fabricating workshop from which Ron Gomboc creates his own sculpture and from where he has achieved international recognition.
The gallery has for the past 27 years hosted an annual sculpture survey exhibition promoting and encouraging participation by students from tertiary colleges in Western Australia. Since establishment of this annual sculpture event there has been an ongoing cultural exchange with national and international sculptors participating as artists in residence.
Entry to the gallery and sculpture park has been free to the public since 1982. The gallery has been totally funded by the owners/directors Ron and Terrie Gomboc.

Kalamunda Modern is housed in the most singular building in Kalamunda. The gallery's recognition is a huge, rammed earth, bobtail lizard, sculpted by Roman Antoniuk and the curved wall at the entrance to the gallery.
Kalamunda lies in the Perth hills east of the city centre. It is the gateway to nearby beauty spots and vineyards and is associated with some of Australia's greatest artists: Howard Taylor, Guy Grey-Smith, Elise Blumann and Robert Juniper.
Kalamunda Modern was inaugurated by John Day, Minister for Culture and the Arts and opened to the public on Friday 20th May 2016 exhibiting the work of international artists Georg Thumbach and Akashi Murakami.
Further exhibitions have included the Australian glass artist Matthew Curtis and German painter Angelika Sieger, German artist Christian Heß and Australian/Danish artist Kirsten Biven and Australian artist Godfrey Blow

The City of Swan's favourite arts and culture venue, the Midland Junction Arts Centre (MJAC) offers an annual feast of visual, performing and youth arts for visitors and residents to join in! Hosting two annual art exhibitions a year, numerous community art exhibitions by local and visiting artists, a range of arts activities during winter, HYPER Vision youth art exhibition and Hyper festival HQ, year round visual art workshops and numerous live music shows, MJAC offers a program that is diverse, inclusive and exciting.
Located in beautiful surrounds in front of Juniper Gardens, the MJAC is conveniently located next to a range of dining options and Midland Gate Shopping Centre on Great Eastern Highway, Midland.
The heritage listed, newly refurbished venue features three generous gallery spaces, an intimate 140 seat theatre/auditorium, a leafy courtyard as well as dance rehearsal and printmaking studios, specialist arts equipment, resident orchestra's sheet music collection, City art collection works, various storage spaces for current users.
Looking very different today, the arts centre is a far cry from its humble beginnings as the Midland Junction Technical School in 1904. In 1909, the school extended its curriculum to include art classes - marking over 100 year's tradition of community involvement in art! The building has also housed a TAFE, primary school, and most recently the Australian Opera Studio, before being leased from the Midland Redevelopment Authority by the City of Swan for creation of the arts centre.

The City of Swan is committed to offering you a diverse line-up of workshop opportunities in 2012. The MJAC is where you will find activities like printmaking, contemporary painting and portrait drawing - just some of the options available to get involved in.
All tutors have extensive industry experience in arts education; sharing with you their accumulated talents and abilities in a friendly and supportive environment.
Participation and skill sharing are core features of the workshop - so whether you are beginning your arts journey or are a regular exhibitor - the courses are inclusive of all levels of experience and ability.
Swan Art Awards
The City of Swan will launch entry to the 2012 Art Award soon. The annual acquisitive Art Award showcases the creative talent within the artistic community of Western Australia and allows for the Excellence Award winner's work to enter the City's art collection. All artworks exhibited are available for sale, and is due to open in November.
The City of Swan Excellence Award stands at $12,000; with five categories totaling over $20,000 in prizes, including a People's Choice sponsored by Midland Gate Shopping Centre.
Performing Arts Program
The MJAC is also a renowned Performing Arts venue, with a program on offer that provides audiences with a unique choice of live events and activities to choose from. Focusing on live music, contemporary dance, drama and musical theatre the program provides opportunities to enjoy the diversity of talent that is currently on tour in Western Australia at affordable ticket prices. The performing arts program also supports the development of creative performance works.
The Mundaring Arts Centre is renowned throughout Western Australia as a unique and special place to discover exceptional, locally made art forms.

Turner Galleries is one of the largest commercial galleries in Perth. There are usually two solo exhibitions on view by leading local and interstate artists. These are changed every five weeks and the public is welcomed to attend the openings. It's easy to be notified abou our events, just join our mailing list via our comprehensive website.

A brief history: From October 1999 to February 2006, Turner Galleries was known as The Church Gallery. For most of that time it was located at 264 Stirling Highway, in Claremont Western Australia. In December 2005 it moved to temporary premises, at 452 William Street Northbridge, not far from the city centre, whilst a new gallery space was being prepared.
In March 2007 the gallery relocated and opened with the new name Turner Galleries. The refurbished 1920's factory workshop is located at 470 William Street Northbridge, near the corner of Bulwer Street.
Turner Galleries displays a broad range of contemporary art that is unique, challenging, critical and/or experimental. This encompasses painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, installation and new technologies. The gallery is owned and directed by Helen Turner, and managed and curated by Allison Archer.
Turner Galleries is also home to an innovative artist in residence programme, and its sponsorship group, the Turner Galleries Art Angels Incorporated.
The City of Wanneroo Gallery is proud to showcase a diverse range of world-class exhibitions throughout the year, including contemporary art, local history, children's exhibitions and community art.
