Description

Get ready for something epic. The magical world of internationally renowned Danish recycle artist Thomas Dambo is on its way to Western Australia.

Thomas’ Australian-first exhibition Giants of Mandurah will see an iconic series of his larger-than-life wooden sculptures take up residence in picturesque secret locations throughout Mandurah in the Peel region.

This free-to-view outdoor exhibition celebrates the unique diversity, extraordinary beauty and importance of protecting our natural world, including Mandurah’s globally significant Ramsar-listed wetlands, unique waterways, bushland and wildlife. The story of the Giants sits alongside and is inextricably intertwined with a creation story of Mandurah, gifted by the region’s Traditional Owners – the Bindjareb people.

Your mission begins at the Mandurah Visitor Centre where you then must choose your own adventure on your journey to discovering each of Thomas Dambo’s hidden Giants of Mandurah. Collect all the clues along the way to reveal the location of the final Giant, but shhhhhhhhhh…..can you keep a secret? Don’t ruin this game for anyone else.

Of course, any intrepid explorer needs a trusty Traveller’s Companion filled with handy hints, tips and fun activities to do. Subscribe to be the first to know how to get your hands on your very own.
