Wildlife Centres in Margaret River

The Margaret River Wine Region in Western Australia is known for its world-class wineries, gourmet culinary experiences, stunning natural beauty, and diverse wildlife. One of the prime spots to observe native wildlife is the Yelverton Brook Conservation Sanctuary, offering spacious self-contained accommodation in the region. Covering 100 acres, the sanctuary is home to critically endangered native wildlife and over 50 species of birds and other animals, established as a Wildlife Conservation Sanctuary in 2001 with a custom-built predator-proof fence.

Visitors to the Margaret River Region can encounter kangaroos, bird life, woylies, and possums during tours along the Cape to Cape track. Additionally, exploring an animal farm allows meeting chickens, cows, pigs, llamas, and emus, providing a unique and entertaining experience for families. The Margaret River Region, one of 34 global biodiversity hotspots, boasts the highest concentration of rare and endangered species in Australia.
