Voyager Estate is a small, second generation, family-owned estate located in Stevens Valley and was established in 1978. Currently undergoing full organic conversion, the winery is one of Australia’s most ambitious and innovative producers of world-class Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. All wines are estate-grown and reflect the unique qualities of Stevens Valley in Wallcliffe, Margaret River, with its undulating slopes, warm summers and cooling maritime breezes.
Voyager Estate specialises in making Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The range explores these in-depth, through three labels; MJW, Estate and Projects.
MJW wines are the pinnacle of viticulture and winemaking. Sourced from the very best fruit and only made in exceptional years when conditions are optimal. Made in extremely limited quantity and presented in a hand numbered bottle.
The Estate Range wines have become recognised as excellent expressions of their variety and wine style. They all play their part in demonstrating the effect that the gravel soils, microclimate, aspect, and maritime influence of our site have on these classic varieties.
Voyager Estate specialises in seated wine flight style tastings that offer an in-depth understanding of the wines. Wines can also be enjoyed by the glass or bottle, with share plates of cold meats and preserves available too. For something extra special, book a private tasting with the Estate Sommelier, or select one of the diverse behind the scenes tours that operate on weekdays. Open 10am – 5pm daily.
Headed by Spanish Chef Santiago Fernandez, who won WA Regional Chef of the Year (2018 WA Good Food Guide), Voyager Estate specialises in wine-paired menus. The 4 or 7 course degustation menu shows off not just the Voyager Estate wines, but also Margaret River’s impressive seasonal produce. It changes every two months. Open from 11.30am daily.
The restaurant was also awarded Regional Restaurant of the Year in the WA Good Food Guide awards in November 2018.
