I t took two years to construct and millions of dollars to fit out – now The Breakwater's spectacular, architecturally designed structure has become one of the foremost multi-purpose venues in the Perth metropolitan area.
In 2010, the venue won two awards at the Australian Hotels Association National Awards for Excellence – Best Restaurant and Best Overall Hotel in Australia. Most recently, it won the AHA 2013 award for Best Conference and Functions Venue.
Spilling out onto the boardwalk, the Lower Deck features a stunning main bar and offers ultra-high ceilings, a high-tech fireplace and yellow-panelled columns that invigorate the space's otherwise cool tones. Funky furnishings add sophistication while floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light, making for awesome views of the ocean.
Reid's Lounge includes a private lounge area and opens onto a balcony overlooking the harbour and the busy boardwalk. Guests can recline on imported European armchairs or chat with friends atop plush, cushioned ottomans.
Located upstairs, the Akoya Suite is The Breakwater's premier function space. Swarovski crystal chandeliers, opulent decor and views across the harbour combine to make this a stand-out venue. The walls can be moved to create more intimate spaces, and audio-visual facilities make it suitable for corporate functions and wedding receptions.
Suspended on The Breakwater's mezzanine level is Ishka Restaurant. Overlooking the buzzing Lower Deck, Ishka is right in the thick of the action, yet still separate enough to exude a warm, intimate ambience. The private dining room at Ishka is ideal for dinner parties.

Numbers | With a total capacity of 1500 people, sections of the Lower Deck Main Bar are ideal for small events, while Reid's Lounge can hold up to 140 people.
