Drive Discovery North Flinders Island Whitemark: Explore the northern part of Flinders Island by taking a drive from Whitemark to experience the beautiful beaches, mountains, and wildlife.

Start by driving north to Killiecrankie Bay and strolling along its stunning beach, which is overlooked by Mount Killiecrankie. If you have some time, you can ask the locals for the best spots to fossick for Killiecrankie diamonds or try your luck at Diamond Creek, which is about 2km along the beach. For those who are up for a challenge, climb Mount Killiecrankie to enjoy panoramic views of the island's northern region. Afterward, head to the free gas barbecue picnic area at Killiecrankie Beach to enjoy lunch or continue north to Palana Beach for another picturesque spot to picnic. At Palana, follow the signed track to a wide sandy beach that's ideal for taking long walks or body surfing when there's enough swell. See the WWII-era Radar Station at Palana which was built due to the fear of Japanese invasion. Enjoy the lichen covered rocks and sweeping views of Inner Sister Island from the beach. Take the North East River turnoff and experience the wildlife, fishing, great beaches and coastal vegetation.
