Since 1887, the Pig & Whistle Hotel has stood as a testament to Trentham’s rich history and its Irish heritage. Tucked away on a quiet corner, this legendary pub has been a cornerstone of the community, echoing the stories of early settlers from Ireland for over 137 years. Originally the Clare Morris Hotel, it bore the name of its first publican, Maurice O’Connell, whilst paying homage to his homeland in County Clare, Ireland.

The Pig presents a modern-Australian menu, filled with classic pub favourites as well as a selection of international dishes, complemented by a wide range of beers and wines. The dog-friendly Beer Garden welcomes guests throughout the year, featuring cozy outdoor fires and ample shaded seating. Inside, you'll find four distinct dining areas to choose from, including the Parlour, equipped with darts and a pool table, the Bistro, where you can enjoy your meal by the warmth of the fire, the Dining Room for more intimate occasions, and of course the Public Bar for your casual dining.
