Hunter Region Botanic Gardens Heatherbrae is the only botanic gardens in the Hunter region in New South Wales, Australia.

Nestled on more than 30 hectares of tranquil landscaped gardens, the gardens display the beauty and diversity of Australian native flora. The gardens are established in a natural bush setting, which creates a peaceful environment to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city life. The botanical gardens feature over 3,000 living specimens of Australian native flora, including grevillea, acacia, hakeas, ferns, orchids, bromeliads, succulent, and cacti garden. Visitors can stroll along eight kilometres of easy tracks and trails to appreciate the natural beauty of the gardens.

The Hunter Region Botanic Gardens Heatherbrae is the result of community initiative, and the gardens are run by volunteers. In addition to showcasing the region's flora, the gardens also protect 100 hectares of land in the Tomago sand beds catchment area. The protected land includes two wetland habitats, a critical component of the region's ecological balance. Visitors can learn about the region's flora and botanical history in the libraries and herbarium at the visitor centre. Wildflower walks and trails offer visitors an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the gardens. The gardens are home to an abundance of wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and other insects, which makes the space a haven for nature lovers.

Hunter Region Botanic Gardens Heatherbrae offers a visitor centre with a cafe and a gift shop. The cafe offers light refreshments, tea, and coffee, and visitors can purchase souvenirs and botanical-themed merchandise from the gift shop.
