Description

Located on the eastern shore of Corio Bay, the Point Henry Foreshore Reserve is an expansive natural landscape that stretches approximately 1.8 km long.

The reserve is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, offering a variety of outdoor activities and picturesque natural scenery.

The reserve offers a breathtaking view of Corio Bay and is an ideal location for visitors interested in bird watching or fishing. If you prefer a more relaxed activity, there are plenty of spots where you can sit back, unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Kayaking is also a popular activity among visitors, who can bring their own or rent from nearby businesses to explore the coast and keep an eye out for wildlife.

The reserve is open all year round, although it is best to avoid the colder months (June to August) as outdoor activities might be less enjoyable in the colder weather. The reserve is especially popular during the summer months, as the weather is warm and the reserve sees more visitors.

If driving from Melbourne, take the Princes Highway and merge onto the Geelong Ring Road. Follow the signs for the Bellarine Peninsula until you reach Point Henry Road, which will take you straight to the reserve. Visitors can also take a train to Geelong and catch a bus from the Geelong Interchange, which will take them right to the reserve.

The Point Henry Foreshore Reserve is an idyllic natural escape for those looking for a peaceful getaway or outdoor adventure. With an abundance of activities for visitors, including fishing, kayaking, birdwatching and exploring the bay, this reserve is the perfect destination for nature lovers. Its convenient
