Corridor of Oaks

The Corridor of Oaks is a park located in Faulconbridge, New South Wales.

It is approximately 75 km from Sydney and 20 minutes from Katoomba. Situated near the Great Western Highway and Main Western railway line, the park is also near the grave of Sir Henry Parkes. It serves as a unique memorial to Sir Henry Parkes and symbolizes the continuity of the high office of Prime Minister of Australia. The park is a common stop for a picnic and features not only oaks but also statues and park benches.

In this interesting concept park, each Prime Minister of Australia is given an oak tree and a plaque stating their tenure as leader. With 25 oaks currently in the Corridor of Oaks, planting began in 1934. The park holds significance as a unique memorial to Sir Henry Parkes and honors the distinguished Australians who have led the nation since Federation.

Thanks to a $2 million funding boost from the NSW government, the Corridor of Oaks and Jackson Park in Faulconbridge will receive a significant upgrade. The planned upgrades aim to create a new look and feel to the site while preserving its old features and character, making it more welcoming and accessible for all.
