Description

Ambergate Reserve Chapman Hill is a 75-hectare regional park located just outside Busselton.

It offers visitors the chance to explore the remnants of scrubland and woodlands that were once common in the area. The reserve features a 4-kilometre loop walk trail where visitors can observe a variety of plants and wildlife.

The reserve is home to over 360 recorded plant species, including tall trees, shrubs, creepers, and 26 species of orchids. Animal enthusiasts can also enjoy spotting various species, with some being active during the day and others only seen at night. The birdlife in the reserve varies throughout the seasons, with many migratory species passing through.

Ambergate Reserve is open all year round, but the best time to visit is during spring when the wildflower display is at its peak. To reach the reserve, visitors can head towards the Chapman Hill area on Bussell Highway, 10km north of Margaret River. It's important to check for alerts and road/park closures before traveling.

While exploring the reserve, it's important to follow the designated path and adhere to all signage. Visitors are also required to use the footwear cleaning stations located at the entrance to the trail and at the junctions to prevent the spread of dieback fungus.

Ambergate Reserve Chapman Hill is a natural paradise that nature lovers visiting Busselton should not miss.
