Description
Since its opening in 1837, the Theatre Royal has been a living centre for the performing arts, with major expansions in 1850 and 1890.
It has seen a variety of performances, from classic theatre to contemporary music, dance and entertainment. Even Noel Coward was impressed, calling it "a dream of a theatre".
