Museums in Nambucca

Nambucca, New South Wales, is home to several fascinating museums that showcase the region's rich history, culture, and artistic talents. The Bowraville Folk Museum covers almost every aspect of folk life in the Nambucca Valley, with key exhibits including a log cabin inhabited by an early pioneer family, a relocated Presbyterian Church, and a working blacksmith's forge. The museum also boasts a large collection of newspaper clippings, including a famous article about Captain James Cook's secret voyage.

In Nambucca Heads, The Stringer Art Gallery showcases the work of local artists and is located in the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre. The gallery hosts changing themed exhibitions and features artworks in various genres, most of which are available for purchase. It is staffed and managed by the Nambucca Valley Arts Council.

The Nambucca Headland Historical Museum offers visitors a chance to explore its vast collection of local artifacts and memorabilia. The museum also features a basement level filled with early farm implements, equipment, saddlery, and household tools.
