Leaving the Christmas shopping until the last minute is something that most of us are guilty of, but in the digital age there’s still time to find that perfect present. Instead of battling the Christmas Eve crowds, hop online and gift tickets to some of these incredible Perth events to give your loved one a truly unique experience.

## Epic exhibition

Any history fans will love the epic Escape from Pompeii exhibition at the WA Maritime Museum. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see rare artefacts from Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Bay of Naples in this internationally acclaimed collection. Adult gift vouchers are available from $20.

Dance spectacular

This is your one and only chance to catch St Petersburg Ballet Theatre’s Swan Lake. In a rare visit to Perth, this incredible company will perform Tchaikovsky’s beautiful ballet at His Majesty’s Theatre. It's here for just a week from June 7-13, so grab a ticket while they're still available.

If you're after something a little more contemporary, international burlesque icon Dita Von Teese will be bringing her glamorous and seductive Art of the Teese show to the Astor Theatre in February.

For the kids

Big and little kids will love exploring the WA Museum’s Dinosaur Discovery exhibition at PCEC. Featuring more than 23 moving, life-sized models this incredible exhibition will have them thinking they’re lost in Jurassic Park. Family gift vouchers are available from $70 and the exhibition ends on Jan 28, so catch it while you can.

There are also two hot tickets in kid's theatre hitting Perth in the new year; The Gruffalo and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt will both see these favourite stories brought to life on stage. It's the perfect alternative to the usual toys and lollies.

For foodies

Taste Great Southern Festival has just announced that Marco Pierre White will be one of the celebrity guests at this year’s festival. Tickets are already on sale for a number of events at this renowned event, so make a foodie's dream come true and gift them the ultimate present.

If it's wine they're into, then tickets for the 30th annual Porongurup Wine Festival 2018 in early March would be the ideal gift. With local food and drink producers showing their wares in beautiful surroundings, live music and a Wine Masterclass in Grape Stomping (who could resist that?) this is one festival they won't want to miss.

For music lovers

If classical music is their thing, nab a WASO gift voucher and give them the choice of some of the incredible events on offer in the orchestra's 2018 season. With things like screenings of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, jazz virtuoso James Morrison’s take on the Great American Songbook and a collaboration with Circus Oz on offer, it'll be tough to decide what to spend that voucher on.

Anyone who enjoys jazz would be delighted with tickets to WAYJO’s take on Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker in the stunning surrounds of the Quarry Amphitheatre.

That’s before we’ve even made it to all the big name acts hitting Perth this year, from P!nk to Kesha, Queen & Adam Lambert to Robbie Williams. If you’re looking for some live music action, get your mitts on tickets to one of these before they sell out.

For theatre-goers

You may need to craft an IOU for this one, as tickets to individual performances in Black Swan State Theatre Company’s 2018 Season go on sale from Tuesday 2 January. If you really want to gift someone the best in contemporary theatre, grab them a Black Swan subscription to get access to a variety of theatre ticket packages right now.

Musical lovers will be ecstatic with tickets to hit show Mamma Mia. For a real treat, grab a Crown Towers Show and Accommodation Package to really make a special night of it.

Movie lovers

You can't get a much better gift for a movie buff than a gift voucher or Luna-Tics bundle for Luna Palace Cinemas. Now that the outdoor movie season is here, make the most of the summer weather and get them to Camelot for the ultimate silver screen surprise. And if they ask what's on, just direct them to our Outdoor Movie Guide and let them take their pick.
