Spring is officially here and so are all of our favourite floral-themed festivals. Get your friends and family together this weekend and check out some of the best flowers in the west.

## ## S&R Orchard Blossom Festival Enjoy a Japanese spring this September at the S&R Orchard Blossom Festival. Visit the S&R Orchard between 7- 20 September and you can stroll under the spectacular flowering cherry blossoms whilst admiring unique pieces of Japanese artwork. The festival features a host of kids activities including bouncy castles and veggie planting, along with flower crown making, tractor rides and a cuddly animal farm on the weekends. With over 20 food trucks, free kids activities and plenty of instagrammable photo opportunities, the festival offers the perfect spring family day out.

##Kings Park Festival The 2020 Kings Park Festival returns in September with the world’s biggest and most beautiful display of Western Australian wildflowers. Set amongst 17 hectares of botanical garden, the festival offers dozens of events for nature lovers including guided walks, outdoor wellness classes, gardening workshops, environmental webinars, high teas and wildflower themed bike tours. On select weekends, the festival will host outdoor acoustic music concerts in several of the parkland’s precincts. Running from 1- 20 September, you’re encouraged to pack a picnic, gather your friends and enjoy the spring sunshine in the city’s favourite park.

Araluen Tulip Festival

Araluen Botanic Park bursts into colour with thousands of flowering tulips every spring. The annual Araluen Tulip Festival showcases the spectacular blooms over a six week period, from 22 August - 4 October. Children can join in a parkland treasure hunt and meet the magical freedom fairies, whilst adults can try their hand at painting with Cabernet and Canvas, and hiking with The Hike Collective. All ages are welcome to join a guided walking tour to learn more about the garden plant collections and the history of the Perth Hills' oldest botanical park. With the Chalet Healy Cafe refurbished and reopened just in time for spring, and the Roundhouse serving a delectable afternoon tea, there’s no chance of going hungry at the Tulip Festival.

Held between 13 August - 20 September in the southwest town of Nannup, the festival will feature over 10 000 blooming tulips, open gardens, market stalls, presentations and flower mandalas. Set within town’s heritage buildings and cottage gardens, there will be workshops on making your own terrariums, gardening presentations from industry professionals, pop-up arts & crafts, devonshire teas, and live music.
