Owners chef Gord Kahle and Craig Houston opened Cook & Mason in October 2017. It is located within one of the oldest buildings on the historic George Street.
Our menu is designed to share and will be changing often to make the most of the freshest, finest foods in season. Our ingredients are ethically, sustainably sourced from some of the best local farmers and growers.
We are honoured to be sharing the best from Blackwood Valley Beef & Lamb, Alderton Farms organic heritage chicken, Jindong Pork, Fin's Seafood & Cooladerra Farm Olives & Olive Oil....

Eat Greek Restaurant has a fresh take on a Greek Feast style restaurant
For Greek style this location is just perfect. Overlooking the river, the restaurant is tastefully decorated with a blue and white theme, with real linen tablecloths and featuring floor to ceiling windows allowing in plenty of natural light.
Eat Greek is a family run business using traditional recipes, offering its customers amazing home cooked Mediterranean meals, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. There is a fantastic selection of delicious dishes ranging from traditional moussaka to fresh seafood and salads. There are lots of healthy options and a few Australian favorites too. The dessert buffet offers a choice of delicious baklava, brandy pudding, Ravani, chocolate mousse and fresh fruit salad to name but a few. The kids will love the jelly and bottomless ice cream with hundreds and thousands to sprinkle on top.
Friday and Saturday nights you will have additional entertainment with traditional Greek music, dancing and breaking of plates.

We offer a simple, wholesome & nutritious fully organic, plant-based menu. All made from scratch with Love & Earth Care. All ingredients are sourced from Certified Organic farms, grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides, genetic modification, hormones or other environmentally harmful chemicals or agents.
As well as serving scrumptious organic food, we also bake traditional German sourdoughs & a range of vegan patisseries. We have a bulk food/zero waste shop in-store, a Certified Organic fruit & veg section & an heirloom seedling nursery out front.
We only use plant-based & compostable packaging, bpa-free & compostable kitchen products & non-toxic hygiene & cleaning products. Our food waste is both donated to local gardeners & taken to local processing plants to be composted.
Our cafe has been meticulously renovated using recycled timber, organic bio-paints & VOC-free glues & varnishes. No chipboard or MDF used, which equals zero off-gassing. We harvest rainwater from our roof, have a whole house water filtration system & use solar panels for heating. Making our space the perfect place to enjoy clean green, planet friendly eats with your family & friends.
Outside is our own ‘Secret Garden’. A gorgeous child-friendly courtyard & kitchen garden which grows many of the herbs used in our menu. This is also where many talented local musicians play intimate acoustic shows to appreciative audiences on Friday & Saturday nights, as well as Sunday afternoons.
We are open 7 days & 3 nights every week & are available for functions & catering.

May Street Larder offers a fresh take on fun and thoughtful dining, with a focus on seasonal foods and the best local produce Western Australia has to offer.

Open for breakfast and lunch, customers can expect an ever-changing menu, plus the May Street establishment will stock and serve a broad range of food items from seasonal salads, raw treats, cooked meats, rustic pastries and more.
Local residents need not cook if they don’t feel like it, instead choosing their dining selections from an enticing variety of freshly prepared dishes available for takeaway. The front counter will be stocked daily with fresh items for diners to choose from – it’s restaurant quality food without the wait. Patrons will be spoilt for choice with a wide range of dietary needs catered for.
The May Street Larder strives for balance above all else in its menu, created by Head Chef Scott Bridger, and so will serve up a mixture of raw, paleo, and organic foods, with a few indulgences thrown in for good measure. Gourmet sandwiches, CocoWhip, twice cooked crispy pork belly, pies, smoked ocean trout, quiche, and house-made chocolate, are just some examples from the opening menu. Wash it all down with house-made sodas and Kombucha on tap plus Campos coffee, available as takeaway or dine in.
In addition to in-house dining, the May Street Larder also hosts an in-house deli of sorts, stocking shelves with organic, raw, and house-made items, all available for purchase. Take home something from the Larder and recreate the ambience for yourself. Choose from a variety of cookbooks, items from Roar Superfoods, honey from the Bib & Tucker rooftop beehives, and other local organic produce.

The Duke of George is a new live music venue, coming to life in the semi-basement of the heritage listed “Brush Factory” building at the top of George Street in East Fremantle. Its ethos is to provide Quality Live Music in the genre of Blues –crossing the lines to Jazz/ Folk /Soul and more….
The Brush Factory was originally built in 1901 for the manufacture of brushes and brooms. Decades later it was taken over by Main Roads and used as a depot. Next came the Lauder and Howard team who opened a Fine Arts and Antiques Business. The current family owners bought the site in 2009 and have meticulously restored the heritage value of the building, saving as much of the original structure as possible and recycling material throughout. The new Brush Factory is a creative hub, housing the Duke of George Blues and Jazz venue, diverse performing arts spaces and lifestyle studios and offices for the arts industry and local commercial business.
The Duke offers an impressive selection of Blues & Roots, Swing & Jazz, Folk, Soul and more, with a mix of house band sessions and ticketed shows. All House Sessions are door entry. Ticketed shows are pre-booked online. Our music is carefully curated to showcase quality musicians in all styles.
The venue is the creative vision and passion of Owner and Artistic Director, Renee Coyle. WAAPA trained, and having led a colourful career of her own across many stages, her desire was to build an exceptional performance space to house and nurture the creative growth of the music industry.
