Down in the Barry J Marshall Library there are lots of fresh and healthy options. A Turkish bread packed with chicken, roast beef or vego fillings, toasted or fresh comes in under $8. And for those 8am lecture days we’re addicted to the breakfast bar where you can mix and match yogurt, muesli and fruit. Alternately, there’s a bacon, egg and cheese bagel for $5.50.

Fresh off the bus with $10 to spend? Stop by Hackett to get your fill of comfort food like pasta of the day (from $9) or mac and cheese (from $6.20) with change to spare. There’s also healthy salad bar where you can mix and match up to three filling options (including scrumptious vego choices) for $6.75. For those with a sweet tooth, try the giant cookies  ($5) or freakshakes ($9) – because you’re an adult and you can have dessert for lunch if you want to.

Or if it’s not quite lunchtime yet, a brekkie muffin to grab and go ($4.95) or a bargain dine-in hot breakfast (from $4.95 for eggs on toast to $9.85 for the big brekkie) will hit the spot!

Home to the Wok’s Cooking range inspired by Asian hawkers markets, Village offers a drool-worthy selection at affordable prices, from dim sum baskets ($4.95),  and fried rice or noodles (from $4.75) to a range of delicious freshly-cooked stir fries (from $7.20).
