The York Botanic Art Prize opens on November 2 with the presentation of fifty-nine entries selected as finalists competing for a prize pool of $8000.
The York branch of the Wildflower Society of WA and Gallery 152 are pleased to be presenting the inaugural York Botanic Art Prize which opens on 2nd November. Hundreds of entries were received from across Australia and the selection panel was impressed by the quality and diversity of proposals, with artists embracing the Prize's theme of botanic art in the expanded field.
Final judging will take place at Gallery 152 and the winner of the $7500 main prize will be announced on 1 November 2020.. Judges this year are Professor Kingsley Dixon, Helen Turner, Gregory Pryor and Angela Stewart.
During the exhibition visitors will have a chance to vote for their favourite work, with the People's Choice Award to be announced on 2 January 2021.
