The top graduates from North Metropolitan TAFE Creative Industries courses come together in Gallery Central’s annual exhibition: SHINE
An exhibition of the best graduates of 2018 from across North Metropolitan TAFE’s Creative Industries program encompassing Visual Arts, Photography, Fashion, a variety of Design disciplines including Product Design, Graphics, Interiors plus Screen.
Students were selected by their lecturers as the best because they all put in the extra mile needed to be a high achiever; they were driven to succeed and took full advantage of the brilliant facilities at NM TAFE and the access to skilled and dedicated educators.
SHINE celebrates diverse concept-driven work from some of Perth’s brightest future creatives.
Gallery Central Manager, Thelma John, says “It’s a supported environment while you are studying, the hard part starts when you dive into the professional world. We take a great interest in what happens next for our graduates, whether they are setting up Artist Run Initiatives, pursuing further studies, freelancing or taking up jobs in the Industry that they have been training in. Whatever they do, they take the TAFE experience with them and it informs their life and work. It takes a huge commitment to see a course through, let alone be singled out as one of the top performing students and selected for SHINE. These are emerging artists and designers to watch.”
