Description

Nannup is a small, historic timber town in the centre of Western Australia’s stunning Southwest, on the banks of the beautiful Blackwood River. Nannup Music Festival is held annually over the WA Labour Day long weekend, over which time the streets come alive with stalls, performances and activities. The Festival, now in its 31st year, is a community-spirited event operated by a passionate and dedicated team of Staff and Committee from the not-for-profit Nannup Music Club Inc.

It is an amazing and inspiring weekend for everyone and a special place to share a festival experience and authentic good times with your family and friends; a colourful celebration of original music, art, nature, community and diversity.
We offer an eclectic mix of incredible acts over free and ticketed venues, street performances, workshops, markets, bush poetry, an Art Walk, jam sessions, camping and a special area for our little festival goers to get involved. All of the above as well as our Emerging Artist Award, Busking Competition, indigenous artists programming and small town atmosphere are just some of the things that together make the Nannup Music Festival a delightful weekend to share, immerse and discover…

Nannup is part of Noongar Boodjar lands, which extends from north of Jurien Bay, inland to north of Moora across and down to the southern coast east of Esperance and is home to 14 language groups. Nannup town is situated on the lands of the Bibbulmun people and the north side of the Blackwood river (Bilyar Goorbalbilyup) becomes Wardandi country. We love, honour and cherish this place and we trust that it will be respected and nurtured far into the future. We are of this land, therefore we are all responsible to honour and respect both the land and those who come from it. All of us – Together. is an amazing and inspiring weekend for everyone and a special place to share a festival experience and authentic good times with your family and friends; a colourful celebration of original music, art, nature, community and diversity.
