The City will present an exciting and innovative festival which merges Library, History, Arts, Food, Music and Culture together. The Merge Festival will cater for all ages and offer an arts and cultural experience not seen in Melville before.
 
The festival is sure to appeal to the whole family with light projections, art installations, live cultural performances, roving entertainment, outdoor library, “up-late library”, food trucks, historic photobooth, pop-up museum and more!
 
This one-off innovative event will launch your imagination for the future City Centre, Library and Cultural facility, due for completion in 2021.The Merge Festival will be a hub of activity; highlighting, showcasing and road testing many different facets and activities for the future facility.
 
The new Library and Cultural City Centre will create a vibrant city heart and be home to our central Library, Museum and Local History service, A-Class Art Gallery, Performing Arts Space, Café and other complementing facilities. The Library and Cultural Centre will be a vibrant community space where library and museum services, art, history and civic functions converge to create a vibrant and inclusive hub.
 
The festival will be held in the grounds and buildings surrounding the City of Melville Civic Centre, Civic Square Library, Main Hall, Main Hall Car Park and Limestone Amphitheatre in Booragoon.
