Description
The South West Rail and Heritage Centre is home to the iconic steam locomotive , Leschenault Lady. Situated in the small town of Boyanup, the Centre has a significant collection of vintage machinery, reflecting the agricultural history of the area.
There is also a collection of historic railway rolling stock used in the area, which is contiually being restored and upgraded.
The Centre is home to an operating blacksmith's forge and the Capel Men's Shed are residents on site.
The latest addition to the site is a keen model railway group who are in the process of building a model railway layout, which is operational, but growing all of the time.
