Description
Africa was called "the Dark Continent" in Henry Stanley’s 1878 travelogue, describing it as an “unexplored, unknown and savage” place. Xander Kabat spent 11 months travelling the length of the west coast, discovering that Africa is anything but dark and savage. Exhibiting for the first time in Western Australia, 'Infinite Wonder of Africa' is a 21-image exhibition designed to awaken the wanderlust that lives in our hearts, showcasing Africa’s landscapes, animals, and cultures. The displayed images will take you on a photographic journey across a continent of friendly people, vibrant colours, magnificent beauty, and Infinite Wonder.
In 2009, Xander Kabat and his wife travelled the length of Africa via the west coast as part of a 17-month, 50,000 km, unsponsored and unsupported motorcycle journey. Along the way, Xander captured these Images of Infinite Wonder and beauty. Xander once lived his dream of riding a motorcycle around the world and hopes to share that passion with others.
