Swan River Ramblers at Jazz Fremantle (expired event)

Combining a wealth of performance experience, with instrumental virtuosity and a keen sense of spontaneity the Swan River Ramblers deliver a great afternoon of trad. jazz, swing, bebop and more.

Led by bass player Pete Jeavons, the Swan River Ramblers (SRR) was formed in 2017 and, true to their name, the group performs mainly in a roving quartet format aboard the Paddle Steamer Decoy as it cruises the Swan River during WA’s warmer months. After a successful performance at Jazz Fremantle in December last year the SRR will once again take to the Jazz Fremantle stage on Sunday June 20th, featuring new recruit Daniel Susnjar (drums) alongside regular ramblers Adam Hall (trumpet/vocals), Adrian Galante (clarinet), Ray Walker (guitar/banjo) and of course Pete Jeavons (double bass). The band performs music from a wide spectrum of styles, drawing repertoire from jazz & swing standards, trad jazz classics, bebop, blues, New Orleans style music, gypsy jazz and more.
