Town & Country Kitchen Designs Swan Valley

Residential Designs

Description

Town & Country Kitchen Designs were recruited to ensure a new kitchen had continuity with the rest of this beautiful home.

The design was to match the country style home while concealing the client’s fridge, dishwasher, microwave and other smaller appliances. They requested a separate area to be built to enable preparation of meals next to main kitchen but out of sight from the main sitting area. The clients also wanted access to the outside kitchen from this area and an island bench for serving.

By being involved from the early planning stage Maggie Milligan from Town & Country Kitchen Designs was able to meet all requests. “I designed a French Provincial kitchen in a Country Cream colour complimented with dark granite work surfaces,” says Maggie. The prep pantry type scullery was positioned between the main kitchen and the alfresco and with an appliance cupboard with roller doors incorporated along the bench opposite the sink, flanked by twin dishwashing drawers forming a very easy and compact working area.

The main kitchen featured a traditional chimney breast and cooker with an integrated fridge on the adjacent wall. Drawers house the latest of self-closing technology and the symmetric design incorporated glass décor door fronts and feature corbels, the island bench was designed to be practical as well where guests could sit with a glass of wine while waiting for the food being prepared.
