The Oxford Hotel is an impressive 107 year-old establishment. It was refurbished by its present owners in 2001 and exudes a classy and traditional ambience.
The Australian Designers Association awarded designer Tony Casella the National Award for the Best Commercial Interior in 2002 for his outstanding work on the historic Oxford Hotel.
For functions, it’s a flexible venue with plenty of charm, and great food and beverages.
Four separate areas downstairs cater for smaller functions while the top floor of the hotel is a purpose-built, self-contained function centre that accommodates up to 280 guests.
This main room has a modern, sophisticated, rustic charm that can only be experienced in a building whose life began in 1906. It features open-faced brickwork, original restored floorboards, doors and architraves, and cathedral ceilings with exposed jarrah beams.
This area is stunning for a wedding. The bridal party will adore the Bridal Suite – a comfortable and private lounge area with its own bathroom facilities. The Suite is perfect for freshening up during the course of the day or night, or in preparation for your wedding ceremony.
Function menus are flexible, with the chefs creating fresh, modern Australian fare to suit any style of event.
The Oxford provides the most up-to-date audio-visual equipment, including 10 large screens, while the upstairs function centre features a state-of-the-art sound ceiling above the dance floor.
