If you’ve passed Finlay & Sons on any given morning, you’d likely have seen a cafe with as many dogs as people. Their love of dogs is so strong that they even have an Instagram page dedicated to them, @dogsoffinlays, run by staff member Andrew Mercer. With plenty of outdoor seating to accommodate you and your furry friends as well as all-day breakfast until 2pm, this Finlay & Sons is the perfect cafe for your next brunch date.

Lincolns 102

Highgate’s small but mighty Lincolns 102 is another dog-friendly joint serving up delicious breakfasts all day. From decadent Belgian waffles to the classic eggs benedict, Lincolns’ offers delicious food in a laidback environment, making for the perfect Sunday breakfast with the dog in tow.

Steam Haus

Sitting pretty just off the popular Maylands cafe strip is Steam Haus, a kid-friendly and dog-friendly cafe. Offering doggy cookies and icy poles as well as a back porch and outdoor seating for your dog to soak up the last of the sun, this place is about as dog friendly as you can get.

Canteen Trigg

Situated right on Trigg Beach is Canteen, a largely outdoor cafe perfect for brunch in the sun. Specialising in classics like the smashed avo on toast and smoothie bowls, breakfast at Canteen Trigg is guaranteed to be highly Instagrammable. As they are walk-in only, it’s best to get there early to secure your spot, particularly on a weekend. Or, pop your name down when you get there and take your dog for a beach walk while you wait.

Pixel Coffee Brewers

If you’re after an all-day healthy brunch spot, Pixel are your people. They did Perth’s first pumpkin smash (sister of the avo smash) a few years back and although much of the menu will be brand new, they’ve kept the old favourite for our post-isolation needs. Both their Leederville and Claremont stores are open for both people and pooches – you can either call to book or try your luck with a walk-in.

Located in Shenton Village, the Little Pantry offers sweet treats and good coffee that make it an ideal stopover on your morning walk. Duck Duck Bruce

Duck Duck Bruce’s dog-friendly garden will be sure to get your dog’s tail wagging, with plenty of dog bowls, treats and blankets to keep you and your best mate toasty. Best of all, proceeds from babycino and sparkling water purchases go straight to the kennel they sponsor at Shenton Park Dog Refuge. Moore & Moore Cafe

An icon of Fremantle, Moore & Moore Cafe is where coffee meets art, with a contemporary art gallery housed in the same building. Open Thursday through to Monday, you can book a table for a delicious brunch or morning coffee in the charming West End of Fremantle here. Otherwise, just stroll in and they will do their best to seat you if they aren’t at full capacity. As always, your dog is welcome in both their courtyard and front deck area, with water bowls provided.
